Cypress is rated as very durable, great for outdoor projects.
How It Works:
Cypress tends to want to have tearout, sharp tools are highly recommended, Glues well, and finishes well too.
Color tends to be a light, yellowish brown. Sapwood is nearly white. Some boards can have scattered pockets of darker wood that have been attacked by fungi, which is sometimes called pecky cypress.
Gain is straight to medium texture.
